ZMorph Plastics Materials Bundle

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is an easily machinable and common plastic polymer with high hardness, chemical resistance, and great insulating properties. PVC is a popular choice for manufacturing and is used for advertising materials, casings, and office equipment.

Plexiglass (PMMA, polymethyl methacrylate, acrylic) is used mostly for art, jewelry, or optical applications. It’s a mostly opaque plastic that comes in a wide variety of colors and textures. It features good hardness and stiffness, low water absorption, and exceptional UV resistance.

PC (polycarbonate) features good impact resistance, good creep, and FDA compliant. This popular thermoplastic is easy to machine, and is great for heat-resistant and outdoor applications. It’s mostly used for transparent protective elements and advertising equipment.

Dibond is a composite material that consists of polyethylene core and brushed aluminum coating. It’s easily machinable and is known for its high-strength and low-weight ratio. Moreover, it presents great damage resistance and is waterproof. Dibond is mainly used for outdoor signs, advertising displays, or casings.

HIPS (high impact polystyrene), another addition to the advertising materials bundle, is a sturdy plastic that presents high impact strength, great thermoforming capabilities, and is easy to glue, paint or print. Apart from the advertising, HIPS can be used in casings, fixtures, prototypes, and showcase models.
